According to research presented by Diane McKay, a researcher at the Jean Mayer USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging, at the American Heart Association's annual scientific sessions, drinking three cups a day of hibiscus tea can lower blood pressure over a six-week period.

Even small changes in blood pressure... when seen in large population studies, will effectively reduce the risk of certain mortalities.
