About A,S&E Classes
We
know that all of you have had a difficult day dealing with the
terrible tragedies at the World Trade Centers and at the Pentagon
and trying to make sense of what none of us can make sense of
now. We have just come from a meeting with President Bacow and
want to tell you that classes will be held tomorrow. We feel
that it is important to move forward as a community of learning.
We
understand that some of you may have personal reasons related
to this tragedy that will keep you from attending classes tomorrow.
Faculty are aware of this and will understand your absence.
Student
Services personnel and faculty are available in Mayer Campus
Center tonight from 6:00 p.m. until 3:00 a.m. to facilitate
conversations about reactions of concern for the tragedies.
Televisions
will be available for those who wish to view news coverage as
well. The Counseling Center is also offering group sessions
at 1:30 each day this week for those who would like to discuss
their feelings about the tragic occurrences.
Please
do not hesitate to contact either of us, the deans in Dowling
Hall, the counselors and the chaplains within the Tufts community
if you would like to talk about these events.
Sincerely,
Susan
