Medford/Somerville, Mass. – According to Reuters, NBC plans to cast Oliver Platt (LA '83) as the lead role in a new drama called "Deadline." Platt will play a hard-nosed investigative reporter in the show, which is now in development. Platt, who was classmates with Hank Azaria, earned box office success in films including Lake Placid, Bullworth, Simon Birch and Dr. Doolittle.
