Did You Know?

The east wing of Barnum Hall is named after alum and former professor Fred Dayton Lambert -- a botanist who spent more than 40 years living and working at Tufts. The Tufts professor, who resided at 120 Packard Ave. on the Medford/Somerville campus, once remarked to a friend, "I sleep on Packard Avenue. I live in Barnum Museum." Lambert, a "triple-Jumbo" who earned his bachelors, masters and doctoral degrees at the University, also died there -- at his desk -- in 1931.

But it's no surprise to Tufts professor Barbara Grossman, who says that the highly-charged election season has helped bring politics to the big screen.

It's a very frightening world, and there's a great deal at stake in the coming elections, whatever your political proclivities.
