Tufts Medical School Announces New Dual Degree Program

Boston, Mass. Tufts Medical School announced a new combined Juris Doctor and Master of Public Health degree program. Tufts and Northeastern Law School will partner to offer the combined degree, forging only the second such partnership in the country.

The program will allow students to earn both the law and public health degrees in only three-and-a-half years, rather than the average five years if the degrees were taken sequentially. John Harrington the dean of Tufts School of Medicine believes this program will “foster a direct involvement in the community and thereby enhance the health of the public.”
