Tufts Student Body Honors Gallagher

Tufts Student Body Honors GallagherIn early April, Tufts graduate Peter Gallagher was on campus to accept the 'Light on the Hill' award.

Medford/Somerville, Mass. [04.13.07] Cohen Auditorium was packed on April 5 when Tufts graduate Peter Gallagher returned to campus to accept a "Light on the Hill" award. Gallagher, who also performed with the Beelzebubs, told the crowdnever to give up on their dreams.

"Ninety percent of life is showing up," said the actor and singer, who earned a degree in economics from Tufts in 1977. "If you don’t show up, nothing much is going to happen in your life. If you continue to show up for your life you might just find yourself in a place you want to be, becoming the kind of person you want to be."

A former Beelzebub, Gallagher also took the stage with the all-male a-cappella group.
