Medford/Somerville, Mass. [04.15.08] On Apr. 14, veteran news anchor and NBC special correspondent Tom Brokaw moderated the third annual Edward R. Murrow Forum on Issues in Journalism, addressing the topic "Noise vs. News: The State of Political Coverage."

Panelists included Matt Bai (A'90), political reporter for The New York Times Magazine; Eric Fehrnstrom, senior communications advisor to former Massachusetts governor and Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney; and Wall Street Journal columnist Peggy Noonan.

Sponsored by Tisch College, the Communications & Media Studies Program, and the Murrow Center at The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, the Forum was established two years ago to honor Murrow's legacy as an independent-minded newsman committed to objective reporting on controversial issues.
