Hundreds Gather To Remember GillOn Sept. 24, 2007, the Tufts community honored the life and work of Professor Gerald Gill.

Medford/Somerville, Mass. [09.28.07] Hundreds of members of the Tufts community gathered at Cohen Auditorium on Mon., Sept. 24, to remember Professor Gerald Gill, who died unexpectedly on July 26 at the age of 59.

"His work with people across the university is illustrated by the outpouring from individuals across Tufts and the Boston community," said Lisa Coleman, executive director of the Office of Institutional Diversity at Tufts and a longtime friend of Gill's.

The memorial featured readings from the Bible, remembrances from friends and colleagues and performances by Tufts Associate Professor of Music John McDonald and Tufts a cappella singers.
